Note that the Photograph Club is taking a break for right now. We will announce when we are back. Thank you for your patience.

Photograpy Club Meetup

We went on a field trip for our November meetup!

We went on a studio tour and q&a session with Matt McKee Photography at his studio. We learned about how he develops his ideas from initial concept through final execution for both personal projects and for clients that range from Entertainment to High Tech. He answered all our questions and we hung out for an afternoon of relaxed conversation in one of the coolest photo studios in the area.

Bio: Matt McKee has been creating photographs ever since he was handed a Polaroid Zip camera at age 7, to keep him from drawing on the walls with crayons. Of course, that did not really help, since the resulting polaroids were glued, taped and stapled up instead. In between personal projects, he brings his unique and award winning vision to marketing and advertising projects, creating portraits of people, places and things for web sites and other marketing. General Photography Club/Meetup info

Whether you’re an avid photography enthusiast or just enjoy taking pictures, Photography Club is the perfect way to meet great people who share a passion for photography or have always wanted to learn more! Many of the MAC events & activities are great for taking pictures, sharing pictures, and learning! We can even do some big trips around New England if we choose.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to take better photos, but you don’t want to get bogged down with all the technical stuff, then you’re going to love this. This group is for you if: You own a camera (or smart phone with a camera) and you’d really like to use it more, but you’re not really sure where to start and what to do. Maybe you’ve taken a photography workshop before or tried picking up one of those thick, boring books, but you quickly got overwhelmed then this is a great place to start.

We can share ideas and knowledge; mount group exhibitions, and promote the advancement of the fantastic art of photography and photographers.

Join our Facebook page where we can discuss our photographs, our themes, any issues we are having, as well as sharing our photos. You can either click on the Facebook link at the bottom of this page or you can search for “hpaa-mac.org” from within Facebook.

We are currently on a break. See not at the top of the page. Sorry for any inconvenience.
