Summer Art Camp 2008

The Art Center's first class, the Summer Art Camp, started the last week of July. Teacher Sasja Lucas took the class to the State House to attend the "Blanket the Globe" project, founded by Casey Ehrlich. The project is creating a montage of one-foot fabric squares of artwork thoughtfully designed by children 0-18 years old, showing how they feel connected to nature. The blanket will be on display August 9th, at Red Rock Park in Lynn, MA from 10-12 noon.

The kids in the Summer Art Camp took part in creating their own fabric squares that will be added to the blanket.

Later in the day, they all headed back to the Center to have lunch and then continue with their art activities.
